Pre-filing consultations provide an opportunity for parties to discuss the scope and nature of the transaction, the information that will be required in a filing, and the CFIUS review timeline.
Outreach Intake (Current Process)
For parties that are not yet submitting a formal filing but want to request engagement (for example, to ask process questions or request a briefing), CFIUS currently accepts outreach intake through direct contact channels:

- A concise transaction or issue summary
- Whether you are seeking pre-filing consultation, general guidance, or another form of engagement
